Produced in 1998, the Rotring 1928 limited edition commemorated the company's 70th anniversary.  1928 pens were produced.  This particular example is No.1799 and comes complete with wooden case, cloth bad, card outer case and paperwork This very large pen is made of cellulold with a candy stripe marbled pattern.  The clip and trim are gold plated The pen fills with a piston/plunger mechanism so does not take cartridges Unusually, the pen has a choice of writing mode.  It comes with both an 18k gold two colour (fine grade) nib unit and a tubular rapidograph type nib, so the two can be interchanged at will 15.0 cms long capped
